Tonight wasn't quite as rough as anticipated, perhaps because I was slightly further south of the rougher stuff or perhaps because my instruments appear to have caputed. Maybe it was windier than I thought.
What I did find last night was a stowaway on board! He appears to be a purple heffalump of the name of 'Lumpy' and he is a very welcome beanbag partner. Just don't let the OSTAR race office know I am two up!
In other news, spirits were lifted considerably when we were visited by two of my favourite birds, gannets! They seemed very inquisite and must have wondered what that big blue and red boat was sailing through their sea. They flew along with bluQube for a bit before moseying onto other things. How simple to be a gannet!
My favourite food, sweet and sour chicken, didn't hit the spot last night and certainly didn't spark the ravenous hunger I have been expecting for some days. Being a Brummy I may have to go for a curry tonight!
Anyway, it seems we aren't doing too bad in the position poles, although it is still early days!! We have some lighter weather today before some stronger southerlies come into play tomorrow. This should give us some faster more direct speeds, and spur us onward toward the mid-Atlantic!
Enough for one day.
