We are very pleased to announce our new name and launch our new website

Racing at Petit Bateau ltd becomes Solo Offshore Racing Club ltd

and the new web site is www.offshoresolo.com

The new club has evolved from the very succesful Racing at Petit Bateau ltd, organisers of single-handed races since 2004 and continues under the established management team of Paul Peggs, Peter Olden and Jerry Freeman.

The aim of the club remains to support and expand solo racing in the UK
through a series of day races that both encourage new comers and test the experienced skippers.

SUPPORT TO TORTOLANI AND CITTA' DI SALERNO

I'm very sorry for the trouble occurred to mr Tortolani and the sad lot of the boat CittĂ  di Salerno. He is safe now; she is lost. We must thank the CG and the ship Missouri. ALL SKIPPERS are obliged now to reflect upon the importance of what they did.

BANJAARD'S REFIT ALMOST FINISHED

After almost a month, Banjaard’s refit in Guernsey is nearing completion.

Bearing in mind the enormity of the challenge the OSTAR represents, the refit has gone way beyond the normal annual antifoul, polish, engine and seacock service. Indeed many items might be more normally scheduled for a twenty year refit, but it seems sensible to do things now as the boat is 18 years old.
